Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Lonnie M. Sibley
Dr. Sibley was born in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. After playing football for Tulane University (beating CU in the Liberty Bowl in 1970) he attended and graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. During that time he performed research in microanatomy with the Department of Anatomy, LSU School of Medicine and in dental implant research with the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, LSU School of Dentistry. After graduation, he was accepted for internship and residency at the University of Texas Healthscience Center, Southwestern Medical School, Parkland Hospital, Dallas, Texas.
He has been in practice in Boulder since 1978. During that time, he has been involved in a number of community organizations from Boulder Rotary, as president, to the Boulder Shakespeare Festival, as chair of the guild. He has also served Boulder Community Hospital as Chair of the Credentials Committee, Chief of Surgery, Chief of Staff, and as a member of the Board of Directors.
He also provides Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for Kaiser at Exempla/Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO. He has had the distinct good fortune of participating in a number of medical missions in nations as diverse as Bolivia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and, particularly, the BCH Mante mission for more than a decade. Dr Sibley also provides for patients of Dental Aid.
